No way are we closing in
on half a year. I cannot believe that our
little guy is 5 months old today. The past month has been an absolute blast
with him; he is such a happy little guy.
The sheer joy on his face whenever he sees you is one of the greatest
gifts from God. Here are some of the
highlights from the past month.
-Kyte and Taygan got to
have guy time while Mom was away in Charlotte for work for 5 days, and they
both survived!
-We officially started brushing
his “teeth”. He has the bottom two but I
know by the way he gnaws on everything and drools that more aren’t far behind.
-He rolled over for the
first time on Feb 24!! Thank goodness I
got it on video because he has only done it a couple times since then.
-Most of the time he
wakes up extremely happy. A huge
blessing!
-We started cereal on
Saturday March 10 and his face was hysterical when he felt it in his
mouth. He has since decided he likes it
a little more but would rather just have his bottle.
-No one can make him
smile like his daddy. I am not sure why
he looks just like him and is a daddy’s boy L Aren’t boys suppose to look like their moms and be mama’s boys???
-He is starting to enjoy
the airplane game and will smile real big when you hold him up over your head.
-He still LOVES his bath
time with his daddy. Kyte will now take
him out of his seat and hold him all the way down in the water. Taygan will float and kick around with just
his face above the water.
-On Mar 17 we started
giving him water out of a sippy cup with a straw. It only took him about 2 days to figure out
how to suck the water up through the straw.
-He has “found his feet”
sometimes we will find him just lying in bed playing with them after he wakes
up from a nap.
-We took advantage of
this summer like weather and had our first run in the BOB jogging stroller…he
loved it!
-He is wearing mostly
size 6 month clothes, especially in Carters.
Some of the gap 3-6 month still fit him.
-We now have to strap
him onto the changing pad, he could def roll off of it if he wanted to.
-He is very quick to
follow you as you move about the room now and will get super excited when you
make eye contact with him. He is adorable
the way he kicks, moves his arms, and smiles when he is happy.
-He is a very good
traveler. He will usually fall asleep in
the car but if he doesn’t he just happily plays with the toy on his car
seat. He loves his day trips with his
Mimi and G-Mama J
-He has become very good
with his hands and will grab anything that you hold in front of him. He can also hold a toy and take it to and
from his mouth to chew on it.
-During one bath this
month he grabbed Kyte’s hand when Kyte had a full cup of water and he dumped
the water all over his face, which scared him to death for a second! Kyte
picked him up and held him for a minute then he began smiling and continued to
enjoy the rest of his bath.
-He had his first ride
in his stroller out of his carrier. Such
a big boy!
